We love our Shades Direct Pergola which was installed by Shades Direct of Nelson in 2023. We are in a high wind zone in Blenheim and the original pergola had literally crumpled and blown away in the January storm. The pergola blends in so well with our house, it is simple and uncomplicated just like the installation process. Enquiry, prompt reply and date set for measure. (Not all companies are so good in this respect). Quote very acceptable. Colour choices etc. done and a date set for installation. Shades Direct have now installed 2 x Aluminum/Polycarbonate verandas at our property…both cover fairly large decks. The process from design, to Quote, to Installation, happened seamlessly. We are very happy with the meticulous attention given to the design and construction of our new shade screens and luminous awning. Everything about our new shaded deck has been a revelation! Firstly Cam and his team were professional, very pleasant to work with and did a great job of assembling our Clearspan Mono Pitch awning. I gather it is one of the largest in Nelson. The awning has created the most valuable outdoor room during the summer when it was really warm, and now getting into winter. In the past we rarely sat out during the day without an umbrella. Now with the highly effective UV screening we are warm and sheltered. Over the summer we eat outside as often as we could. Truly a game changer for us. Cheers!

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of working with Shades Direct in Coromandel and Bay of Plenty, and we cannot speak highly enough of the fantastic service, top-notch quality, and impressive durability they provided. I wish to thank Taranaki Shades Direct for carrying out an amazing job of our new “Clearspan” roof that really compliments our home. In 2012 I started renovating my 1960s house to make it one for the 21st century. The final step was a new car port. I checked three options and decided on Shades Direct’s Outsider Awning. From the time Scott Lanning made the initial consultation visit to the final installation I was impressed with the care taken and attention to detail. Hi Scott - just a note to let you know we are most impressed with our Outsider Awning and curtains that have come through the last two major storms with flying colours. The easterly wind (in June 2014) was horrendous, by far the worst we have had in twenty odd years here. Incidentally the curtains were down at the time. Shades Direct carried out the construction of an Awning at my address on Friday 4 April 2014. This job was completed by Scott and his team as we had discussed and planned. I would like to thank Rodger and his helping hand for installing the outsider on our huge deck, with a view to die for,now completely usable. It was installed with profession, finesse and speed. I cannot fault it. Previously the deck was completely unusable as it was too hot in the summer and too wet during the other seasons.
